As new cryptographic techniques emerge, Ergo’s Merkle Trees and other cryptographic structures may be updated to incorporate these improvements.

Flexibility and Integration#

For example, Merkle Trees could be applied to other data structures within the blockchain, such as sidechains or decentralized applications (dApps).
